Five Reasons to Support Love Akron

1. Our positive 15-year history.
Because of the Lord’s favor, we have seen Love Akron grow from a few pastors who gathered to pray to a cooperative fellowship of over 250 ministers and ministry leaders representing more than 30 denominations.  Each member is a positive ambassador who values partnership and diversity within the greater Church of Christ, and who ishaving a positive presence in the Greater Akron Area. 

2.  Our focus on uniting the ministries of the Greater Akron Area.                      
Our full-time ministry is to serve as a catalyst for connecting Christian leaders in Summit County through resources, representation, relationships, and collective prayer power. The need for demonstrating that the Christian Church is bonded together by our relationship to Jesus Christ and our relationship with one another is crucial.  No other organization serves this critical purpose.

3.  Our vision to see the Greater Akron Area spiritually transformed.
We believe that the power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ can transform our community, especially when local Christian ministries partner through trusted relationships and a common mission. Our goal is to take the whole Gospel to the whole Greater Akron Area as a united body.

4.  Our ability to bring dreams and structure together.
We take this vision for community unity and organize a structured plan to get things done with impact.  Love Akron is a critical agency to bring form to dreams and structure to strategy.

5. Our future as a leading organization promoting local Christian unity.
Akron is one of very few cities in the nation that has an organization dedicated to uniting area Christian leaders for spiritual transformation of the community.   Love Akron is the largest Christian minister’s fellowship in Summit County that is intentionally and uniquely comprised of Christian pastors and ministry leaders.

Love Akron was asked by Akron city government leaders to lead in a 90-day prayer initiative against violence, gangs and drug activity.  We also served as a catalyst in forming the “Imagine Unity” organization. Most recently, Love Akron was invited to serve as the communication channel for SUMMA Health Systems in the case of a catastrophic event.
