In memory of a life that deeply impacted so many, Good Place Holdings has established a new endowment benefiting Love Akron in honor of its founder, Scott Myers.
Scott co-founded Good Place Holdings with the conviction that what had been entrusted to him was meant to be stewarded for the good of others; to help create good places for people, organizations, and communities to flourish.
That same conviction shaped Scott’s involvement in helping form Love Akron years ago. He believed deeply in people and relationships, in bringing people together around a common purpose, and in the good that can happen when we faithfully invest what we have been given in the places where we live and work.
This endowment is one way of carrying that vision forward. Good Place Holdings will establish an endowment with an initial gift of $75,000, followed by $25,000 annually for the next three years; a total initial commitment of $150,000.
But our hope is much greater than a single gift or even a single organization’s commitment. Our prayer is that this seed will grow.
We envision an enduring, regenerative source of generosity that strengthens the work of Love Akron and creates opportunities to invest in the people, relationships, and collaborative efforts that help Greater Akron flourish.
We hope others will catch the vision Scott carried and join in nurturing what has been planted, allowing a legacy of stewardship and generosity to continue bearing fruit for years to come.
